While in the perfect world, you’ll have great experience, our philosophy to hiring is to attract team members who have the right character and core competencies – all the things that are hard to teach someone.
We think if you are essentially a great person, who has the fundamental attributes listed below, we can generally teach you all the technical skills you need to know. We have a great training platform that will show you the steps to do your job well.
Our Criteria to Find the Perfect Candidates
Here’s the criteria we use to hire:
1. Positive Attitude
You’re a positive person, people gravitate to you. You don’t winge and complain about things, instead you go the extra mile to make things happen.
2. Attention to Detail
You’ve got an eye for picking up mistakes, you’re proud of the fact that you’d prefer to go a little slower and make sure the job gets done accurately, than to speed through your work, and run the chance of having errors.
You like to work in a progressive environment where there is a continual improvement on the way things are done. You love the idea of working with a company that wants to be one of the best in the world at what they do.
4. Customer Focused
You know that when you treat clients like VIPs, they stay longer, the business grows, and your job is secure. You have a proven track record of taking great care of your clients and customers.
5. Self motivated
You don’t need to be micromanaged, in fact, you cringe at the thought of having a boss that doesn’t trust you. You like to work from your home office, and you can be trusted to get the work done accurately and on time.
6. Great problem solving skills
You’re someone who thinks laterally about how to solve a problem, and you’re able to work out possible solutions to present to your manager. You know how to use Google to find solutions 🙂
7. Clear Communication Skills
You’ve got proven skills in dealing direct with clients and customers both over the phone and face to face. You have a friendly and polished communication style, you can speak and write without grammatical errors.
8. You’re Forthright
You know how to give honest, straight forward feedback in a diplomatic way. You don’t waste time dancing around the truth, you are confident to get straight to the point, and you can do this in a respectful and considerate manner.
So how do you feel about these attributes? If you feel you have at least 7 of the 8 points in your personality and character, we’d love to see your current resume and also a cover letter.

- Give us context – outline what job you were in, and what company it was for
- The task or problem – outline the situation in terms of the problem that you had to solve, or the task you did
- Your actions – what did you do to overcome this issue/obstacle, and help to generate a positive outcome?
- The result – what was the positive outcome you generated?

- Lucille is really good at following instructions, and is keen to learn more about digital marketing, so she’s been given a side project of working on our email marketing.
- Jane is a team member who helps with the LinkedIn marketing services, but when we saw how good she was a graphic design, she quickly became our in-house designer for all the cool infographics, digital brochures, and inspirational quotes.
- Sam is really awesome at corporate communications, and she has an amazing eye for detail, so she handles our Quality Assurance and checks all the work to make sure it’s perfect.
A Global Team that Leverages Technology
We are a virtual team, everyone works from their home office, and we communicate online. We have writers from UK, USA and Australia, and we have support staff both in Australia and the Philippines.
